Hallstar
A global chemistry supplier that provides customized solutions to industrial and beauty and personal care companies.
I was the first creative to ever be hired at Hallstar. I created every piece of media under the Hallstar name. My involvement grew a global brand in 5 countries and helped retain major clients: Unilever, 3M, and L'Oreal.
Two Brands
Hallstar decided to split the company into two divisions: Hallstar Beauty and Hallstar Industrial. Two subbrands were created to help organize product lines and avoid customer confusion. As a result, quality leads, customer retention, and new product innovations increased.

Beauty Product Lines
Color Organization
Hallstar Beauty has many products, which are organized based on their functional properties. The idea came to me to affiliate a color with each product line. The results helped customers quickly identify the product category and ingredients within the formula.
For example, these labels illustrate which product lines are in the formulation.
Below you will see a few product lines and how they were represented by their color and functionality.

Active Naturals
I wanted to illustrate activity in beauty in correlation to the product activating the formula.
Functional Naturals
Focusing on the subject in a natural environment, which correlates to the product’s ingredients.
Butters and Oils
Highlighting energy with a butter “swipe,” a youthful, aqua subrand color, and lively expressions.
Around the World
Hallstar regularly attends international trade shows with a high demand for samples, technical insights, and results. I designed these booths, along with all collateral, videos, giveaways, and themes, for events in Paris, Bangkok, and New York. Hallstar’s presence stood out greatly among cookie-cutter templates, won multiple awards, and the best leads in 5 years.

Formula Themes
Hallstar creates formulation samples in response to beauty trends. For example, to conserve more water, The Waterless Wave theme introduced more green products with biodegradable packaging.
